Lincoln Dinner Event Speech

"I would like to thank our co-sponsors of this event; the Pike County Young Republicans and the Matamoras Republican Club for inviting me here this evening.

I never thought about running for office!  

The reason was not because I did not think it important, or noble, because I do.

I have seen too many very good and honest people go to Washington and either become so frustrated that they had to quit accomplishing very little, or they were sucked into the political machinery and became cogs in the wheel of the political game and soon lost their souls. Yes, I said their SOULS!

As for me, I am not a quitter and I always believed my soul was too important to be trade-in.

Now, however, thanks to the many people I have seen and met in the tea party movement; the possibilities are clear. A person may be able to run for office, in the name of the people with their will and consent without compromising their values so long as they are honestly aligned with their constituency.  

My whole life I marveled at the men and women who built this country, the founding fathers and mothers of our nation.

Can you imagine the things that they endured and sacrificed in the name of Freedom and Liberty? The things that they sacrificed for a dream! The dream of the shinning city-on-a-hill as it was so aptly envisioned by former President Ronald Reagan.   

I thought that these people were long gone and buried and I never thought that Americans could once again rise up to equal those great patriots from our founding.

Well, I am happy to report that I was profoundly wrong. The people of the Tea Party, the 9/12 movement, the Sons of Liberty, Young Republicans and many, many, other Americans of today are as patriotic and devoted to the dream as their fore-bearers. The revolutionary zeal of America has NOT been lost.

We owe all this to three or four people I would like to recognize tonight. For without these demigods none of this would be possible for they inspired and drove the people back to the patriotism of our ancestors. These people are, you may have guessed, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and yes, in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, Mr. Christopher D. Carney.

I believe all of us running for office will say everything the voters would want to hear.
Many of us say it sincerely and with devotion in our hearts and with the best of intentions.

Others have been coached by handlers, party experts, people in the know, political operatives, and big monetary supporters. I can tell you that what I say, I believe in the deepest recesses of my being and they are profoundly and absolutely the things I will fight for with every ounce of energy. I think and hope that this sincerity will resonate with the “New American Patriots”. For it is your job to look through these people running and discover what is real and what is talk.

Before running for this office, I did not run to Harrisburg or Washington to confer with people who are political operatives. I did not seek their “permission” to run. I did meet with one Republican Party member to see what legal procedures were necessary to run for Congress. I have been talking and meeting with the real owners of the 10th Congressional District, the people living here. I will answer to YOU and ONLY TO YOU!

I am a COVSERVATIVE period!

We need not qualify it with the terms “fiscal”, “social”, or “constitutional” conservative.

I am a conservative THROUGH and THROUGH, 100%, and I can not and will not be silenced for it is our time to PROUDLY SHOUT IT OUT!

We are proud to be cut from the same ancient and patriotic cloth of our founders.

When you read something on my website or in my literature:
I wrote it!
I meant it! and
YES, I believe it!

I did not say it for anyone’s benefit or approval but to voice my own inner patriot that YOU have helped awaken. I know not everyone will agree with everything I say or believe. I do it because I know it is right. I know it is right because it has been tried, true and tested for the past 233 Years!  Conservative principles work every time they are tried.

If I am lucky enough to represent the Patriots of the 10th Congressional District, I will never forget that it is OUR MONEY that is being CONFISCATED; OUR money that is being spent; and it is OUR families who have to bear the burden of being without those precious resources.

I promise to fight to allow you to keep more of your money thereby allowing you and your family to spend it as YOU see fit.

I agree to fight to ensure that Congress asks for as little money in the form of taxes as possible and to get the Government to live within the limited role enumerated in the Constitution. Funds we are allowed to spend must be spent as efficiently and effectively as possible.  

I promise to fight to get Government off your backs and out of your lives as much as is possible.

I promise to reverse the gradual march of Tyranny that has occurred over the past 100 years and, to reverse the TYRANNY of LIBERLISM.

We must all declare our support for this Our Conservative cause of LIBERTY! For just as the men who signed the declaration of Independence so eloquently said:

“And for the support of this Declaration,
With a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence,
We mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.”

Later these Patriots wrote a nearly perfect Constitution that is under assault daily by the aforementioned four people and their Liberal counterparts in Congress, the Executive Branch, the Judiciary, and yes, in most of the “LAIME STREAM” media.

We must not allow any of these people to take our Freedom and Liberty from US or our POSTERITY.
